Methodology and sources
June Tariffs publishes the commercial energy price of residential contracts, with the full history of every monthly publication.

Each row is a product that appeared in the V-test of the Vlaamse Nutsregulator: electricity or gas, offtake or injection, fixed, variable or dynamic.
Amounts are the energy component excluding VAT. Network tariffs, levies and taxes are not included. A fixed fee is shown as a yearly amount, which is how the V-test treats it in the annual cost. The column in the source file does not itself name a period.
A variable amount marked ≈ is computed with the VNR value of the index: a forecast for the next 12 months, not the later settlement.
The ingester reads the open-data workbook on the “V-test data en energieprijscurves” page of the Vlaamse Nutsregulator (formerly VREG). One workbook contains every month since January 2025. Fixed products sit on a different sheet from variable and dynamic products; since 2026 an extra sheet holds formulas with four indexes.
The same page publishes the energy price curves (xlsx). Those curves are archived and, when the database is connected, stored as time series. The site does not present them as a consumer price.
We do not call CREG’s internal comparator API. The “last known value” column in the V-test file is the VNR’s name for the CREG method; it is stored with the formula, not fetched from CREG.
Variable and dynamic prices stay a formula: a*A + b*B + c*C + d*D + z. A–D are named indexes (EPEX/Belpex, TTF, ZTP, Endex). z is the constant in c€/kWh.
Dynamic electricity that points at EPEX day-ahead quarter-hours is tagged epex_be_day_ahead_quarter_hour. That code is the hook for combining the formula later with ENTSO-E quarter-hour prices. The VNR value in the file is an average, not a quarter-hour price.
Every month in the file becomes its own tariff version, tied to the source document and its SHA-256. A later file that republishes the same month adds a version and does not overwrite the earlier one.
The raw bytes stay in the archive. The public site shows the version from the newest file.
The V-test has no field for the share of green electricity. A product is called “green” here when its name says so (groen, green, bio, zon & wind, 100%). That is a heuristic, not a guarantee.
Tariff cards for Wallonia (CWaPE) and Brussels (Brugel) fit the same tables: region, card URL, duration and green share are already there. This phase fills Flanders only, from the V-test.
The ingester runs every Monday at 06:00 Europe/Brussels, and daily on days 1–7 of each month, plus whenever someone starts it by hand.
